Rules

Blackball 8 Ball Pool ruleset will be used. Players are expected to keep score for their own matches and ensure each frame is recorded on the the tablet provided for their specific table. 

While shot clocks are not utilised, it's expected that players are not unreasonable in the time taken to choose and play a shot. Organisers reserve the right to introduce a shot clock at any point within any match during the competition, and a maximum of 90 minutes per individual match applies to first-round matches. In the event that the match clock timer reaches 90 minutes before either player has reached the required number of winning frames, then the player with the highest number of frames won after the current frame in play will be determined as the winner.

While referees will be present, it is not guaranteed that a referee is watching both tables continually. If both players cannot agree then the tournament organisers decision is absolutely final, except for which case the tournament organiser is also competing in the match, and a neutral party is chosen as the delegated authority.

Player honesty is expected and any player found to be deliberately misleading misleading or being dishonest to their opponent will be disqualified immediately.

Organisers reserve the right to disqualify any participant where their behaviour is deemed unnaccaptable either by the organiser or any venue or partner involved with the event.
